Soil & Water Conservation
Soil and Water conservation is an important aspect of rural development owing to the excessive water usage, uncertain rainfall, frequent droughts, degrading of land due to soil erosion, excessive fertilizer use and other causes. Restoration of soil and water is of crucial importance in current times.
Through water conservation/ management and land conservation/restoration approaches, we can deliver impact oriented results.
Water is a scarce resource. Implementation of this watershed management program shall tremendously benefit the people in rural and backward areas in addition to boosting the economy of the region. It shall increase farm productivity and reduce the disparity between irrigated and rainfed areas. It shall also create sustainable employment opportunities for rural poor and reduce migration to cities.
