Cattle Breed Improvement Programme is a programme for upgrading / crossbreeding local indigenous cows / buffaloes to develop a progeny of high milk yielding animals.

3) What is ILDC

Integrated Livestock Development centre is an innovative concept through which artificial insemination facilities and other veterinary services like castration, deworming, vaccination and regular health check ups for animals are offered at the doorstep of the farmer. The ILD centre caters to 8-10 villages in the surrounding area.

4) Who is 'Gopal'?

Gopal is a local youth (male/female) working as the programme operator at the ILD centre. He/she is thoroughly trained to offer different services at the ILD centre by JKTGVY and works under the supervision of qualified veterinarians of the organization.

5) What is A. I. in cows and buffaloes?

Artificial Insemination (AI) in cows and buffaloes is breeding them with the semen by artificial means.
